Can i switch a fuel injected engine out and put a carburated engine in it?

I have a seized 3.6L V6 in my 86 S10 Pickup that is fuel injected. I just bought another engine that is also a 3.6L V6 but its carburated. Can i make the switch? I know I have to switch the carburator and the intake manifold off of the old motor, but

Leave the carburated motor alone and just put it right on in. And take all that wiring out that you dont need that you would normally need with fuel injection. Alot simplier.
