On a pontiac fiero 2.8 v6 what keeps the cam for sliding out of the engine?

I'm rebuilding a pontiac fiero engine. I installed the timing chain and sprokets but the cam slides out. Is there something that keeps it form coming out?

You'll need to obtain a slider bearing, reverse-thrust ball washer and bolt kit from your local parts store. Always buy these parts together as a matched set. The reverse-thrust ball washer puts reverse thrust on the camshaft and is held in by 8 bolts.
