Electrical problems in 95 Oldsmobile silhouette?

My mother currently owns a 95 Oldsmobile silhouette with major problems and no money to take it to get checked and we are running out of ideas of where/how to diagnose the problem. Any help/suggestions would be VERY appreciated! It's her only transportation

Go to a parts store (like Autozone) that will hook it up and find the trouble codes.
