About my family roots in Slovakia, place Priechod?

Hello
Long time I'm in search of my ancestor's roots- last name- Perhat.
Until now i know for sure that they came to Croatia 200 years ago but didn't know from where.
Recently, I find out that there is place in Slovakia- Priechod,

One of my reference books "Genealogical Research Directory", dated 1993 (things and names have changed since this was in the days of Yugoslavia) gives addresses of Genealogical Societies all over the World.

US Steel casts wary, weary eye at Serbian losses

Southern Europe's economic woes are taking their toll on U.S. Steel's Serbian operations, and the Pittsburgh steel producer is contemplating what to do about it.

"We are not satisfied with our poor financial results in Serbia, and we are evaluating all options to improve our situation," chairman and CEO John P. Surma told analysts during Tuesday's quarterly earnings conference call.

He listed a host of problems: high raw materials costs; pressure from imports; customers who can't pay; and an anemic economy.

"The economics are very difficult right now," Mr. Surma said. "The growth rates in southern Europe are flat or negative. Credit is virtually unobtainable."

U.S. Steel's European operations, which include the Slovak Republic's former state-owned steel producer, generated $50 million in operating losses during the third quarter. That brought operating losses for the year to $73 million vs. a $6 million operating profit in the first nine months of 2010.
