Once and a while when idling my manual transmission car feels as though it's going to stall. The RPM gauge falls quite low, below 1 (don't know if this matters, just an observation). The car does not stall unless I give it gas while still in neutral.
Giving gas while idling should make the brightness of your lights brighter not the opposite.
You might want to check to make sure your alternator is not starting to go bad. Your alternator is what provides electric power to your car, your
