2003 Ford E 350 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel problems?

I have a problem with the engine. For a split second on start up it runs fine, after that it start to run really rough. the passenger side cylinder 1,3,5,7 are all firing but driver side 2,4,6,8 are not firing. it only smokes on start up for some reason.

it is common for the connector on the inside of the valve cover to wiggle loose when the engine is running. ford makes a reinforcement clip that you put in the connector to keep it latched.
