Is there any way to make my car trim shinny?

I have black plastic(?) trim along the bottom of my car as well as around the windows and back door (suv) and the trim has gotten really dull, any suggestions?

Do whata the specialists,detailers do. Use Kiwi black liquid shoe polish. When it dries it shines. Do it all the time!
