i need to know how to fix my tailgate on my ford ranger?

i have a 2002 ford ranger and the tailgate (when i got it) has a huge dent in it. how can i get this dent out and also where can i get the replacement plastic cover for the edge of it. the rest of the bed has it but i guess the previous owner took it
Helpful Bob is/was right but I'd just check the online parts yard like Junk Yard Dog, or Car-part.com and let them look for you. they do a nation wide search or regional where as local dealer only have what has come into them. E bay is another good source,
