Canada based, RM Auctions, is the largest Classic Car auction company in the world today. Their reputation is such that, they hold 5 of the top 10 and 4 of the top 5 records, for selling most expensive cars in the world at an auction, including the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa which was sold for a record $12.5 million back in May 2009.
RM Auctions next event is scheduled to take place at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, Phoenix, Arizona on the 19th and 20th January 2012. On auction will be some of the Classic Ferrari cars, including the 1957 Ferrari 410 Superamerica (above image), which is expected to go under the hammer for over $2.25 million.
1957 Ferrari 410 Superamerica is special in more than one ways, apart from carrying a brushed stainless steel top, 410 Superamerica is also the first ever Ferrari car to be designed by the famous Italian designer Scaglietti.
Other classic Ferrari's which will be up for auction at the RM Auctions Event in January 2012 include, 1958 250 GT Ellena Berlinetta (estimated price - $550,000), 1973 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder (estimated price - $1.1 million), 1952 342 America Pinin Farina Coupé (estimated price – $1 million), and 1991 F40 (estimated price – $750,000).
