The Hatboro Merchants Sales Contest is well under way, and is attracting much interest not only in Hatboro, but in surrounding communities as well.
The new 1936 Ford V8 sedan, first prize in the contest, has been on display in front of the stores in the campaign during the past few days and has attracted considerable attention. Other prizes include a living room suite, lounge chair and ottoman, cedar chest, and number of smaller awards.
The big campaign opened last Friday and will run for nineteen selling days, closing Saturday, December 14. The competition among contestants for votes is a merry one, and of course at this early date anyone can win.
Each Friday will be a special event day with special prizes and extra votes being given at the various co-operating stores. Each Tuesday also is a free vote day for any and all who register at the stores.
Campaign headquarters, at 11 E. Moreland avenue, is a busy place these days as the votes are being counted continually and credited to the proper contestants.
