What is an energy efficient temp for my thermostat to be set for during winter?

We have an energy star furnace but drafty doors. We have a White Rodgers programablethermostat.
Our furnace is Natural Gas.
I think you'll find any local utility will recommend 68 deg unless you're sleeping or not home, then it drops to 55 deg. Use the programmable part of the thermostat to do this automatically.
