Selling an American BMW in the UK?

My friend is considering buying a BMW M3 from someone who supposedly moved to the UK and took this car with him. They claim because the drivers seat is on the wrong side of the car and the fact it is an american car they would be better off selling it

Probably have to get it converted back to the american standard instead of the metric system. Have to change some gauges and the glass if its been changed. Also need catalytic converter if it does not have one. Lived in Germany for 3 years. Full conversion
