The 2012 Rio5 5-door hatchback is an eye-catcher. This third generation Rio is built on an entirely new chassis with a longer wheelbase, longer overall length, wider body and lower roofline. Front and rear overhangs are much shorter and the angle of attack from nose to the top of the windshield is much steeper, improving forward vision and giving the car a '"ready to pounce" look. Kia's signature ' tiger' nose with its lattice pattern grille sits atop a deep, integrated front bumper with a large blacked out panel flanked by distinctive pods for optional fog lamps. The face is a bit pugnacious - in a nice way - that challenges you to look more closely.
